Air-Cured :
Dried in a place that is protected from sunlight. Drying is made by making
either whole plants or only leaves matured. The mount of glikoz produced by
the plant decreases in this 3 month process.
American Blend :
Smoken as an humidifier and sweeter , enriched by saucle the Virginia,
produced by a mixing process from Burley and Oriental with different rates.
These blends gets mixed with aromatic sweeteners while presenting
Aromatics :
Origined on Europa and America. Preferred by young smokers. Berry, orange,
chocolate, cafe , whisky and lots of tastes it has. But it must not be
forgotten that chemicals are used to give these tastes.
British Flake ve Ready Rubbed :
Tobacco leaves get keep warm under a strong pressure for days. Appeared on
the tobacco “ Cake “ gets seperated from press and cut into small slices.This
kind of tobaccos provide a well and slow smoke. Talent and practice is
needed for smoking. The ones called Ready Rubbed are easy to smoke and may
provide a good smoke for the new users.
Burleys :
The leaves are gathered when they grow up to the maximum limit.They don’t
get fermentised like “Dark” but they generally are mature kinds. Not very
aromatic and useful for mixtures..
Dark :
At the begining it gets from the leaves that are very common in world and
not very matured , then they get fermentised. Leaves that gets second level
fermentise , used in pipe making.
Dark Blends :
Includes different origined ( France , South America , Africa , Asia )
tobaccos. Generally don’t contain additives or “sauce”.
Fire-Cured :
Is a dark kind. It’s naturel protection gets completed by wood incense (
pine is used traditionally )
Flue-Cured :
Virginia kind tobaccos that are dried with warm air. Harvest is done very
fast. When the plant is medium aged the harvest is done. Leaves that
harvested get lined up in places that takes warm air in. The tobaccos get
yellow because of the sudden warm increase. Virginia tobaccos are aromatic.They
are used as main tobacco in mixtures.
Mixtures :
Mixtures are mixings that gained a unique taste with careful mixing of
different exotic tobaccos.Some exotic tobaccos in the mixtures get pressed
and change in dark state in order to gain a wealthier aromatic specility.
Sun-Cured :
Represents oriental tobacco class. It’s agriculture is generally done in
Turkey and neighbouring countries. Oriental tobacco’s main specilities are
being aromatic and have a high carbonhidrat level (10% – 15% ) Has a soft
smoke and gives a homogen taste in used mixtures. Tekel’s “ Turk Pipe
Tobacco “ is a pure Oriental.
Twist ve Spun Cut :
Generally chosen by the fans and hiden by very special tobacco seller.Is a
completely feed, storng and rich tobacco. Made by sailors twisted like a
string shape. It’s best example is “Escudo”.
