I am a pipe-lover in Eskisehir. I am smoking pipe and I am carving my own pipes too. But I cannot get a favorable  results due to could not find  good quality briar blocks. I hope that you can help me as to where I can find good quality briar blocks. If you are looking for briar blocks , you can find it from The Sahin Pipo. I think that they will help you about that subject. Meanwile, it is very difficult to carve briar pipe out of wood that you used. I hope it will go smoothly.

Before all else, I would like to thank you about your comments on our web site. As for answer of your question, it had been published many book about smoking pipe and pipe culture. But unfortunately, there isn't any source published in Turkish language (at least I didn't see or hear)

I am working on that subject too.There can be found some brochures and booklets about it, however, most of them may be complicated and full of wrong information due to published towards to sales. 

I advise you to follow carefully only this web site for now. In addition, if you want to reach any source that written at foreign language I could place order for you.

I think that if Turkey Pipe Club open local headquarters special to its members in Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and organize various activity, the pipelovers will be glad too much. Also, I want to say somethings to people which give the impression of themselves cool appearances by smoking pipe ; please smoke your pipes by  proper procedure of pipe smoking OR satisfied with cigarette. Never go out your pipes !

I don't agree with Mr. Garo. Yes,  smoking pipes had smoked by inhaling in the old days, even nowadays smoked by inhaling in some primitive clans. If pipe smokes by inhaling it may be harmful influence on smoker's health, which is equivalant one box cigarette.......

I'd like your web site too much. It had been organized very nice and informative.However,   we are not of the same opinion about one thing is that ; never inhaling the smoke in and only circulate the smoke in mouth. If we look to passed times of the pipe smoking , we can see smokers smoked the pipes with the aim of inhaling much nicotin resorption earlier than cigarette smoking. In my opinion, still going on in this way.

As you said, smoking pipes had been handled only for nicotine resorption in the past. However, afterwards in the beginning of 1880's years, particulary among English pipe smokers, that habit had been quitted, evolved different point of view and gone into searching different ways in this regards. As a result of that had been used various tobaccos, had been began diversity in aromatic process as well as had gone into searching different blended tobaccos. In that searchings, pipe smoking methods had been changed and various smoking methods had been tried to find the best smoking quality. The result of that researches, pipe smokers agreed to one thing is that ; "the smoke must not be inhaled at all and circulated in mouth to provide satisfying smoking". Also I am in favour of that view. The many big pipe companies  had supported that view . But, of course, it 's up to you.
